Trails
Blackbird Farms is adjacent to paved trails that are maintained by the city of West Lafayette. Using these trails, Blackbird Farms residents have easy walking access to the Celery Bog Nature Area to the north and McCormick Woods and Purdue University to the south. Many Purdue sports facilities including Ross-Ade Stadium (football), Alexander Field (baseball), Folk Field (soccer), Bittinger Stadium (softball), and the Schwartz Tennis Center are easily accessible using the trails.
Blackbird Farms Pond
Blackbird Farms Pond is a private pond for use by Blackbird Farms Residents and their accompanied guests only.
- Fishing is catch and release—no fish may be taken away from the pond
- Ice fishing is not allowed
- No swimming, boats, canoes or kayaks are allowed on the pond
When enjoying the pond or surrounding area, please ensure that you clean up your area and take any trash or refuse with you when you leave. If you observe any issues occurring at the pond area, please do not address them yourself—please contact the WLPD to enforce the Trespassing Order on file with their department.
Blackbird Farms Apartments Amenities
Blackbird Farms Apartments is adjacent to our neighborhood to the West on Kestral Blvd. The apartments offer amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis court, dog park, and fitness center. These amenities are available to the homeowners of Blackbird Farms for a fee.
