Blackbird Farms is a quiet neighborhood located east of the intersection of Lindberg Road and the U.S. 231 Bypass, and just a couple miles from the main campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. It is bordered by Purdue’s Kampen-Cosler golf course, wetlands, trails, and Purdue University intramural fields and student farm. Blackbird Farms is near the Purdue Research Park and the Purdue Airport, and within walking distance of Purdue varsity sports venues (including football, baseball, softball, tennis, and soccer), walking trails, and the Celery Bog Nature Area / Lilly Nature Center.

Blackbird Farms is located in the City of West Lafayette, Indiana and receives West Lafayette city services. It is in the Tippecanoe School Corporation. CityBus serves our neighborhood.

The Blackbird Farms neighborhood consists of 171 one- and two-level single-family homes built in the mid- to late 1990s. The residents include a diverse mix of professionals, retirees, families, and students.

Blackbird Farms Homeowners Association (HOA)

Blackbird Farms is zoned as a planned development. All homeowners are members of the Blackbird Farms Homeowners Association and as such are regulated by the Bylaws and the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions of the Homeowners Association. As provided for in the Covenants, and to protect the interests of the entire neighborhood, homeowners are required to seek the approval of the Architectural Review Board before making substantial changes to the exteriors of their properties.

The Blackbird Farms Homeowners Association is governed by the Board of Directors. The Board is made up of homeowners who are elected to serve on a volunteer basis.

Blackbird Farms homeowners are encouraged to consider serving on the Board of Directors or to volunteer in other ways to help maintain the quality of our neighborhood.
